Congratulations to John and Sarah who got engaged while traveling on Amtrak Cascades on January 14, 2011! John and Sarah have been dating for seven years and while John was attending law school at the University of Oregon and Sarah was studying nursing at the University of Washington, they relied on the train to bring them together at their meeting place in Centralia. So, with fond memories of Amtrak Cascades, John planned a surprise proposal for Sarah on board the train! Luckily, WSDOT was on board the train filming video and was able to capture the special moment for John and Sarah.
