Submitted by webhelp on Fri, 03/10/2017 - 16:02A landslide along the railroad tracks between Tacoma and Olympia has interrupted train service. A 48 hour moratorium is in place with no passenger trains operating in this section of the corridor through 2:25 pm on Sunday, March 12. Alternative transportation is being sought to transport passengers around the landslide area.
Landslide near Everett impacts train service

Trains 510, 513, 516, 517 will be trains between Everett and Vancouver BC and buses between Seattle and Everett. All normal train service will resume on February 18. Landslides north and south of Seattle are impacting train service
Submitted by Laura Kingman on Thu, 02/09/2017 - 16:21Amtrak Cascades trains are temporarily disrupted between Portland and Everett due to landslides. BNSF Railway, which owns the tracks, has placed a 48-hour moratorium for each slide area. Alternate transportation is provided between Seattle and Everett and trains are running normally between Everett and Vancouver BC. Trains between Seattle and Portland will not be running until February 12 and no alternative transportation is available. Seattle to Vancouver BC trains will resume Saturday, February 11, after 5 p.m. All trains south of Portland are running normally.
