BNSF Railway is working to clear the landslide and stabilize the slopes. Buses are being secured to provide alternative transportation as available. All trains between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., and Portland and Eugene, Oregon, are all running normally.

Four daily buses in each direction are available for those traveling between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. Amtrak Cascades trains will resume train service between the two cities (and stations in between) as soon as both countries and Amtrak have protocols in place for train passengers. Train service will likely resume in late spring of 2022. Details on traveling between Canada and the United States are available at www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/covid/. People entering the U.S. must show proof of being fully vaccinated.
Amtrak Cascades trains now run on the Point Defiance Bypass and use the Tacoma Dome Station at 422 E 25th St., Tacoma, WA.
Trains north of Seattle to resume on Friday. Some alternative transportation will be provided. All trains running normally south of Seattle. We apologize for any inconvenience.
