Beginning in March, Trains 510 and 517, operating between Seattle, Edmonds, Everett, Mount Vernon, Bellingham and Vancouver, B.C., will operate with Superliner equipment while interior renovations are performed on the Amtrak Cascades trainset. Because of this equipment substitution, certain services and amenities have been added or changed, as described below:

Services and Amenities Offered

  • Superliner Coach, featuring upper- and lower-level seating.
  • Lounge Car, offering comfortable casual seating for sightseeing and socializing.
  • Light meals, snacks and beverages for purchase in the Sightseer Lounge.
Services Temporarily Suspended
  • Sit-down dining car meal service
  • Business class

Changes to Traveling with a Bicycle
  • Because Superliner equipment does not have a bicycle rack, bicycles must be boxed and shipped through Checked Baggage service.
  • Boxed bicycles do not require a reservation.
  • Bicycle boxes may be purchased for $10 each at Amtrak stations or $20 CAD in Vancouver, Canada. You may need to turn or remove handlebars and foot pedals to fit your bicycle in the box. Please bring your own tools to disassemble and assemble your bicycle.
