Passenger Service Notices
Dedicated Bus Service to Everett, Mt. Vernon and Bellingham
Beginning May 12th, Amtrak Cascades passengers in Everett, Mt. Vernon
and Bellingham will have a new connecting Thruway motorcoach from trains
traveling to and from Seattle.
With this added bus service, passengers will be able to travel round trip
between Eugene, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington.
The new bus schedule will connect with the northbound Amtrak Cascades train
in Seattle at 12 p.m. daily and will stop in Everett, Mt. Vernon, and
Bellingham. Southbound travelers will depart Bellingham at 2:50 p.m. daily and
arrive in Seattle at 5 p.m. where they can connect with the Amtrak Cascades
train headed to Eugene, OR.
Beginning in March, Temporary Equipment Substitution on Amtrak Cascades
Trains 510 and 517
Beginning in March, Trains 510 and 517, operating between Seattle, Edmonds,
Everett, Mount Vernon, Bellingham and Vancouver, B.C., will operate with
Superliner equipment while interior renovations are performed on the Amtrak Cascades
trainset. Because of this equipment substitution, certain services and
amenities have been added or changed, as described below:

Lounge Car, offering comfortable casual seating for sightseeing and
socializing.

Light meals, snacks and beverages for purchase in the Sightseer Lounge.

Changes to Traveling with a Bicycle

Because Superliner equipment does not have a bicycle rack, bicycles must be
boxed and shipped through Checked Baggage service.

Boxed bicycles do not require a reservation.

Bicycle boxes may be purchased for $10 each at Amtrak stations or $20 CAD in
Vancouver, Canada. You may need to turn or remove handlebars and foot pedals to
fit your bicycle in the box. Please bring your own tools to disassemble and
assemble your bicycle.
